Taylor, a public relations specialist at WestmorelandFlint and Cheer America cheerleading instructor, will wow the audience and the judges with her charismatic performing skills gleaned from her experience as a figure skater, cheerleader, and salsa and belly dancer.
Taylor and Agudelo will perform a mambo fusion to the song “Mambo Jambo.”
“Practicing for the challenge has been energizing and exciting,” said Taylor. “I think my passion to perform and love for dance really shines through our dance number.”A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Agudelo began studying at Ballet Spartanburg more than nine years ago.
“My first year dancing with the Minnesota Ballet has been inspiring, thrilling and fulfilling,” said Agudelo. “Dancing with Crystal has been a great experience. She brings a fun energy to the dance floor, which adds to our dynamic and vibrant performance.”
The Minnesota Ballet’s annual fundraiser features 12 local celebrities partnered with professionals from the company, a take on the TV reality competition “Dancing with the Stars.”
The Celebrity Dance Challenge will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Marshall School. All proceeds go to the Minnesota Ballet.
Challenge insiders report that Minnesota Ballet Executive Director Robert Gardner may make a special appearance in Taylor and Agudelo’s dance number.
