The Iron Range defeated Duluth 6-4 in the St. Luke’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine High School All-Star Hockey Series opener Tuesday night in Grand Rapids.
The Iron Range can claim the Dick Stewart Cup with a victory in today’s 7:15 p.m. series finale at Amsoil Arena in Duluth. A skills competition begins at 5:45 p.m.
Duluth still holds a commanding 16-7 lead in the all-time series. The Iron Range last won the cup in 2011.
