The St. Scholastica Athletics Department began the process in the fall, organizing a five-person committee to determine the awards and having coaches nominate individuals for awards. The committee then determined the finalists for each award.
The award winners for on-field accomplishments were then determined by approximately 100 voters, consisting of head coaches and five student-athletes from each varsity sport at St. Scholastica. Awards recognizing on-field accomplishments include the 2012 spring season, 2012 fall season and 2012-13 winter season.
